It's all good. I was noting that he covered the gun, then was consistently careful to not get anything inside the barrel. I understand why, but it takes away from the claims their making about the robustness of the gun.

It's a tight gun. The slide sits inside the frame and the slide rails go all the way to the front of the slide. It's keeps sand out which is a big problem in the middle east. Yeah you don't want to shoot any firearm with an obstruction in the barrel.

Pretty good interview. I took one of Sonny's courses when he was in Utah and I agree. He's a top notch instructor and really focuses on the basics instead of gimmicks, dogma, and gizmos. In this day and age where there is a lot of $$$$ to be made off of people's desire or even delusion it's good to know who isn't in the bullshit pile. I agree with this guy's assessment.

New magazines for the M4.

POSTED BY: MATTHEW COX JULY 25, 2016
The U.S. Army TACOM is introducing a new M4 Enhanced Performance Magazine, according to a TACOM Maintenance Information Message first reported by Soldier Systems.net.

The new magazine will feature a tan body and blue follower and will be engineered to address feeding issues with M855A1 ammunition, according to Soldier Systems.

The M4 EPM has been assigned NSN 1005-01-630-9508 and will be introduced through attrition of the current magazine.

The Army first started to improve M4 magazines in 2008 after reliability tests found that the original follower caused many of the weapon’s feeding malfunctions during the test.

There are a variety of factors, but this guy is testing the kill range of buckshot and slugs from a 12 gauge shotgun.

This video has been around for a while, but thought I would post it. There's been experimentation with high rates of fire of smaller caliber rather than larger caliber but less rounds. Interesting to see the impact from so many rounds fired almost simultaneously.

Ok so for the past I don't know, year or so, I've been wanting to get some Black Talon 9mm rounds. Now, Winchester discontinued BTs years ago but they continued to make the same round, just minus the black Lubalox coating. They sell them under the Ranger Law Enforcement line and they're called SXTs. Which most shooters like to say means Same Xact Thing as Black Talons lol. The round is actually improved over the original BT but they're kinda hard to find. It's not illegal to own them, but Winchester doesn't market them to the public so you have to find them online or in a gun store or at a show. I ordered two 50 round boxes for 24 bucks each, which is a damn awesome price.

Now, aside from the razor sharp talons on these things, they're probably no more effective than Critical Defense or Hydra Shoks. But, I wanted some and when I found them I snatched up two boxes. Coincidentally, the place I ordered them from is in High Point here in North Carolina. I'll probably be ordering more ammo from them.

Oh, and I ordered 500 rounds of Lake City 5.56 from a buddy of mine. 180 bucks. Not too shabby.

Help me out here. What is the purpose for the SXT or Black Talon ammo? Does it change how the round penetrates the target? Or change trajectory?
